The site's history dates back to 1914, when the Royal Navy established a Wireless Telegraphy Station in the Scarborough area. In 1943, the station relocated to its current home at Irton Moor, just two miles from Scarborough.
With more than a century of heritage, the site has evolved alongside advances in communications and intelligence, while continuing to support the UK's national security mission.
