1,730 specialist certificates have been awarded to over 1,200 certified cyber security professionals in the UK since the CESG Certified Professional (CCP) scheme was launched in 2012.

Such is the success of CCP that it is now available, on a limited trial basis (until March 2016), to residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US.

What sets CCP apart is that it is not simply a qualification. It is awarded only to those who have demonstrated the ability to apply their skills, knowledge and expertise in the workplace. Richard, Lead IA Architect, CESG said:

"When I’m providing consultancy to government departments on behalf of CESG, I’m often asked where they should look to find security expertise outside of CESG that can help them on a longer term basis. My answer is that they should look for people who have had their skills assessed through CCP in a role that is relevant for the job the department needs doing. Given my recommendation to use people with proven skills, I thought it was only fitting that I should have my skills tested too. Having successfully completed the CCP assessment for the IA Architect role at the highest Lead level, I am happy to vouch for the rigour and thoroughness of the assessment process. CCP has been an independent industry endorsement of my expertise and I have no hesitation in recommending CCP to all serious IA professionals working in the UK."
