Be Exceptional – GCHQ at Civil Service Live Bristol
News article - 9 Jul 2013
The Civil Service Live ‘Be Exceptional’ regional event event at Bristol focused on providing real learning and development opportunities for civil servants, with hubs and speakers supporting areas such as ‘the digital workplace’, change management, programme and project management and commercial skills.
GCHQ’s presence focused on Volunteering and Information Security with a presentation by Chris Ensor, Deputy Director for the National Technical Authority for Information Assurance on ‘Getting Cyber Security Right’, aimed at helping individuals understand their role in protecting public sector and their own information.
The volunteering displays were also popular, with GCHQ joining their DWP, HMRC and Civil Service Local South West colleagues to highlight volunteering opportunities and promote the benefits of volunteering, not only for the community, but also as a way for individuals to learn new skills.
