GCHQ has a free independent and confidential Welfare
Service, which offers counselling, information, advice and support
for people experiencing difficulties interfering with personal life
or job performance.
Trained Welfare Officers offer help with a wide range of personal
difficulties including bereavement, family worries, problems at
work, health issues, financial difficulties and drinking problems.
They also work with managers providing help and guidance to those
dealing with the impact of personal problems on their staff. The
service is also available to retired staff and family members on
request.
