Candidate information: eligibility

It's important to read the Nationality Rules before you apply, to ensure you're eligible for employment at GCHQ.

Please note, in particular, that you must be a British citizen to apply, and that you must complete the nationality declaration on the application form before we can proceed.

Age

Although there is no formal age limit, you will be expected to offer at least 5 years' service before the normal retirement age of 65.
