In possession of a library/information management
qualification, you'll have good communication skills and the ability
to work in an ever changing environment.
You should possess an approved honours degree or postgraduate diploma
in Librarianship or Information Science and ideally, professional
membership of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information
Professionals. Training towards chartered status is provided if
required.
All of our posts require you to have good communication and organisational
skills to manage resources effectively and meet wide-ranging information
needs. Experience of using electronic information resources and
systems is essential. Experience and/or understanding of knowledge
management is desirable, as is subject knowledge in current affairs,
business information, communications and computing.
