Members of the Senior Civil Service (SCS) at GCHQ were recently asked to respond to a Cabinet Office-led
survey exploring their views on leadership and working in the SCS. The Cabinet Office ran this survey for the second time, as part of its
Public Service Agreement to improve leadership and skills. Details of the overall cross-Civil Service highlights report are available on
the Cabinet Office web site.
GCHQ's results compared very favourably with returns from other Civil Service Departments and Agencies. In particular, the survey reflected
the outstanding commitment of GCHQ's staff to the vital work in protecting the UK's national security.
As usual, there is room to improve and Director GCHQ is leading discussion with senior colleagues with that focus very much in mind.
