GCHQ held an emergency evacuation exercise on the morning of Friday 14th October 2011. This involved a number of GCHQ staff leaving the Benhall 'Doughnut' building and gathering in a nearby location.
This routine test of GCHQ's evacuation procedures is an essential part of ensuring that our processes and structures are robust and efficient should a real-life emergency occur.
