Background
You are the famous detective Hercules Parrot of Scotland Yard, on the trail of the elusive Mr X, a wanted criminal who has a long history of smuggling illegal goods into the UK. Mr X has evaded capture for many years, but now, finally, you’re close to capturing and arresting him.
And then ... disaster strikes! Mr X has escaped from you and left his base in London.
Part 1
You have gained access to his abandoned base and found a scrap of paper taped to the back of the door which reads:
